Abstract

The publication examines the impact of hostilities on Ukraine's environment. The war affected every component of the environment - animal and plant life, water, air, soil. The consequences of this negative impact will be long-term and will have not only a local, but also a global character. Among the many crimes committed by Russians, there are some that are often overlooked. Although their consequences will be felt by generations of people, even outside of Ukraine. We are talking about crimes against the environment: mass death of fauna, hundreds of thousands of hectares of burned forests, thousands of tons of fuel from bombed oil depots, poisoned land and water. Add systemic attacks on strategic facilities with potentially catastrophic consequences for people and the entire ecosystem. The Ukrainian land literally suffers from the invaders.
