Трагікомедія в системі драматичних жанрів: теоретичне осмислення в сучасному літературознавстві

Abstract

У статті досліджується трагікомедія як важливий компонент української драматургії та водночас як актуальна форма сучасного художнього мислення. Показано, що в сучасному літерату-рознавстві трагікомедія виходить за межі традиційного розуміння як поєднання трагічного і комічного. Основну увагу зосереджено на специфіці трагікомічного конфлікту, який трактується як принципово нерозв’язаний і такий, що функціонує у стані постійної смислової напруги. Продемонстровано, що саме ця синкретичність зумовлює поліфоч-ність смислів і багаторівневість читацького сприйняття, відкриваючи можливості для неоднозначних інтерпретацій. Доведено, що комічне у межах трагікомедії не виконує функції розрядки, а ускладнює трагічне, підкреслюючи його внутрішню нестійкість. Розглянуто феномен абсурдності як важливий чинник формування трагікомічного світовідчуття, що відображає кризовість, фрагментарність і парадоксальність сучасної реальності. З’ясовано, що абсурд у структурі трагікомедії виконує не лише стилістичну, але й світоглядну функцію, підсилюючи драматизм ситуації через їхню зовнішню комічність. У статті враховано як новітні інтерпретації трагікомедії, що пов’я-зують її з процесами деконструкції наративів, так і підходи, зорієнтовані на виявлення історичної тяглості жанру в українській драматургії. Розглянуто трансформації сприйняття жанру трагікомедії в контексті сучасних гуманітарних студій (В. Атаманчук, Ж. Бортнік, Є. Васильєв, Т. Вірченко, Л. Мороз та інші), де він осмислюється як форма художнього реагування на складність і суперечливість буття. Показано, що трагікомедія як жанр зберігає свою актуальність і продуктивність, оскільки дозволяє репре-зентувати граничні стани людського існування через поєднання контрас-тних емоцій, формуючи нові моделі осмислення дійсності. Підкреслено значення трагікомедії для відтворення складності людського досвіду. Простежено, як невідповідність героя і ситуації стає ключовим механізмом створення трагікомічного ефекту, актуалізуючи напругу між внутрішніми уявленнями персонажа та логікою подій.

This article examines the tragicomedy as an important component of Ukrainian drama and, at the same time, as a relevant form of contemporary artistic thought. It has been shown that in contemporary literary studies, tragicomedy goes beyond the traditional understanding of it as a combination of the tragic and the comic. The focus is on the specific nature of the tragicomic conflict, which is interpreted as fundamentally irresolvable and operating in a state of constant semantic tension. It has been demonstrated that it is precisely this syncretism that gives rise to the multiplicity of meanings and the multi-layered nature of readers’ perceptions, opening up possibilities for ambiguous interpretations. It has been demonstrated that, within the context of tragicomedy, the comic element does not serve to provide comic relief but rather intensifies the tragic, highlighting its inherent instability. This paper examines the phenomenon of absurdity as a key factor in the formation of a tragicomic worldview that reflects the crisis-ridden, fragmented, and paradoxical nature of contemporary reality. It has been established that absurdity in the structure of tragicomedy serves not only a stylistic function but also a worldview function, heightening the drama of the situation through its apparent comicality. The article takes into account both the latest interpretations of tragicomedy, which link it to the processes of narrative deconstruction, and approaches aimed at identifying the historical continuity of the genre in Ukrainian drama. This paper examines shifts in the perception of the tragicomedy genre within the context of contemporary humanities studies (V. Atamanchuk, Zh. Bortnik, E. Vasilyev, T. Virchenko, L. Moroz, and others), where it is understood as a form of artistic response to the complexity and contradictions of existence. It has been shown that the tragicomedy, as a genre, remains relevant and effective because it allows for the representation of the extremes of human existence through the combination of contrasting emotions, thereby forming new models for understanding reality. The importance of tragicomedy in capturing the complexity of human experience is emphasized. The study examines how the mismatch between the protagonist and the situation serves as a key mechanism for creating a tragicomic effect, highlighting the tension between the character’s inner perceptions and the logic of events.
