To mark the 410th anniversary of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (KMA), the paper highlights the key issues relating to its interactions with Central and Eastern European countries (CEECs), as well as the integration of the Ukrainian state into European and global cultural processes during the 17th and 18th centuries. The scientific work clarifies the Academy’s significance in these processes and identifies valuable aspects for contemporary nation-building by examining the multifaceted activities of Kyiv-Mohyla scholars abroad. The paper traces the main directions, content, and trends in the development of the Academy’s relations with foreign nations. It focuses on paradigms and conceptual provisions regarding the historical discourse of the Academy’s activities in a pan-European context. It also considers the Academy’s influence on the lives of foreign peoples and countries during the period. The main priorities and activities of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy scholars in many regions of Central and Eastern Europe are highlighted and discussed, as is their influence in various spheres of education, culture, and science. The study also touches upon the history of intellectual transfers and knowledge, as well as the network approach. It is proved that the Academy acted as a conduit between Ukraine and Europe, establishing Kyiv as the intellectual centre of the CEE region in the 17th century. It is emphasised that the phenomenon of the KMA is of great importance today in the context of both theory and practice in understanding the development of the Ukrainian state and the countries of the region. Further research into the relations and spiritual enrichment of peoples in the 17th-18th centuries will contribute to the development of cooperation between Ukraine and other countries during the period of national and state formation, particularly in the context of the russian–Ukrainian war. It will also promote an understanding of the role of Kyiv as a cultural, educational, and scientific centre of the region.uk_UA
