Abstract

In the article the geological history of development of South Roztochcha region is reflected based on literature and funds materials search. As a consequence, accumulation a few kilometer layer of deposits arises at Roztochcha region caused by inherited bending during late Proterozoic, Cambrian, Ordovician, Silurian, Devonian, Carboniferous, Jurassic, Cretaceous, Paleogene and Neogen periods. Considerable intensity of tectonic motions on the early stages of Roztochcha development could be the cause the inherited activation of those motions in near geological past. Last is the important argument in support of hypothesis oftectonic origin of the Podillya Scarp.
