dc.description.abstract	A proof of glacial origin of sandstones from Batiatychi is obtained on the basis of petrographical studies. This finding questions view of the authors who considered the sandstones as remains of the Tertiary deposits that seemingly existed on Male Polissya. Description of morainic, permafrost deposits and buried soil in the environs of Zhovkva and Kamyanopif is presented. The study is a next step towards a solution of the problem of genesis of the Podillya Scarp.	uk_UA
