Періодика Тернопілля кінця ХІХ – першої третини ХХ століття в журналістикознавчих і бібліографічних студіях

Abstract

У статті здійснено спробу впорядкувати історію осмислення пресодрукування на Тернопіллі на межі XIX–ХХ століть у тогочасних фахових студіях. Актуальність дослідження зумовлена потребою вивчення локальних видавничих процесів означеного періоду в контексті загальноукраї нських, особливо в умовах відсутності державності та функціювання украї нської періодики в межах різних політичних утворень. Мета статті — упорядкувати історію осмислення пресодрукування Тернопільщини в журналістикознавчих і бібліографічних студіях XIX — першої третини ХХ століття, що передбачає систематизацію і критичнии аналіз джерел про украї нськомовні періодичні видання. Методологія дослідження ґрунтується на міждисциплінарному підході, якии поєднує історико-бібліографічнии аналіз, компаративні студії та контент-аналіз джерел. Основу становить аналіз бібліографічних покажчиків, енциклопедичних публікаціи , періодичних видань, а також праць дослідників украї нської журналістики та краєзнавців. Застосовано елементи джерелознавчого підходу для виявлення і залучення маловідомих або забутих джерел інформації . У результаті аналізу встановлено, що перші систематизовані згадки про украї нську пресу Тернопілля з’являються в працях І. Левицького (початок ХХ століття), продовжуються у 20–30-х роках ХХ століття в наукових розвідках І. Калиновича, І. Кревецького, В. Ігнатієнка, А. Животка та мають важливе значення для вивчення регіонального пресо-вого ландшафту. Значнии внесок у бібліографування зробили також закордонні науковці, зокрема Є. Місило та М. Мартинюк, а в новітніи період — Науково-досліднии інститут пресознавства ЛННБУ ім. В. Стефаника, зокрема завдяки працям М. Галушко, І. Павлюка, О. Дроздовської та інших. Особливу цінність становлять джерела, які включають маловідомі видання та інформацію про видавничі ініціативи в малих містах і селищах краю. Дослідження також підкреслює проблему неповноти бібліографічних даних та виклики, пов’язані з розрізненістю джерел, відсутністю належного фахового інтересу и ідеологічними обмеженнями радянського періоду.

The article attempts to organise the history of understanding the press in the Ternopil re-gion at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries in professional studies of the time. The relevance of the study is stipulated by the need to study the local publishing processes of this period in the context of all-Ukrainian ones, especially in the absence of statehood and the functioning of Ukrainian periodicals within various political entities. The purpose of the article is to organise the history of understanding the press in the Ternopil region in journalistic and bibliographic studies of the 19th — first third of the 20th century, which involves systematisation and critical analysis of sources on Ukrainian-language periodicals. The research methodology is based on an interdisciplinary approach that combines histori-cal and bibliographic analysis, comparative studies, and content analysis of sources. The basis is the analysis of bibliographic indexes, encyclopaedic publications, periodicals, as well as works by researchers of Ukrainian journalism and local historians. Elements of the source study ap-proach are also used to identify and attract little-known or forgotten sources of information. As a result of the analysis, it was established that the first systematic references to the Ukrainian press of Ternopil appear in the works of I. Levytskyi (early twentieth century), con-tinued in the 20s and 30s of the ХХ century in the scientific research of I. Kalynovych, I. Kre-vetskyi, V. Ihnatienko, and A. Zhyvotko, these references are important for studying the regional press landscape. A significant contribution to bibliography was also made by foreign scholars, in particular, E. Misylo and M. Martyniuk, and in the recent period, by the Research Institute of Press Studies of the V. Stefanyk LNSU, in particular, thanks to the works of M. Halushko, I. Pavliuk, O. Drożdovska and others. Of particular value are the sources that include little-known publications and information about publishing initiatives in small towns and villages of the region. The study also highlights the problem of incomplete bibliographic data and the challenges associated with the dispersion of sources, lack of proper professional interest, and ideological restrictions of the Soviet period. The novelty of the study lies in the systematic approach to the study of the Ternopil region's press through the prism of historical and bibliographic studies, which allows us to cover both classical sources and the latest developments, contributing to the actualisation of this topic for further journalistic research. Prospects for further research include deepening the content anal-ysis of periodicals, researching the personalities of local publishers, and digital reconstruction of bibliographic indicators using modern electronic tools.
