Abstract

The article assesses the ecological state of the park's biocenosis by analyzing the external characteristics of dominant tree species using sample plots in the Sopilche Park in Ternopil. Following methodological guidelines, the condition of leaves, bark, trunks, age, density, and crown shape of trees was assessed, and the minimal impact of the chemical composition of atmospheric air on the growth and development of plant organisms was recorded. It has been established that the external characteristics of woody plants are important indicators of the state of biocenoses, therefore systematic monitoring and assessment of these characteristics allow for the timely detection of violations, planning and implementation of effective measures for their conservation and maintenance of biodiversity.
