Огляд праць М. Чубатого з історії української церкви, опублікованих у США у 1939–1975 рр.

Abstract

У статті досліджується історія української церкви крізь призму праць М. Чубатого опублікованих у Сполучених Штатах Америки у 1939–1975 рр. Розповідається про видатних діячів української церкви Андрея Шептицького, Йосифа Сліпого та інших, які зробили неоціненний внесок у розвиток самосвідомості українців. Особлива увага приділяється ролі Церкви у боротьбі за державну незалежність України.

The article examines the history of the Ukrainian church through the prism of the works of M. Chubaty published in the United States of America in 1939–1975. It tells about prominent figures of the Ukrainian church, Andrey Sheptytsky, Yosyf Slipy, and others, who made an invaluable contribution to the development of the identity of Ukrainians. Special attention is paid to the role of the church in the struggle for the state independence of Ukraine.
