| Abstract: | This article analyzes the main principles of sustainable development for individuals and communities in the context of contemporary social transformations in Ukraine. It identifies key drivers of sustainable development, such as improving the quality of life for the population, ensuring environmental safety, and providing access to education, healthcare, and conditions for personal fulfillment. Particular attention is paid to Ukraine’s integration processes into the European community, the reconstruction of regions affected by the war, as well as the principles of harmoniously combining the environmental, social, economic, political, and cultural needs of society. The work summarizes sixteen fundamental principles of sustainable community development, which serve as a methodological basis for forming an effective model of local development. It is demonstrated that sustainable community development is a multifaceted process that requires active citizen engagement, the strengthening of social cohesion, adherence to moral and ethical principles, and the development of a long-term strategy for recovery and further development. |
