Abstract: Abstract. The article describes a study of structural and dynamic characteristics of students' value orientations and the dominant tendencies in the axiogenesis of students - future specialists in the humanities in the process of studying at a higher education institution. Empirical research shows the dominance of security, maturity and self-determination as being the most important factors for students. Conservative values, on the other hand, are shown to be insignificant. Dynamics of students' axiogenesis during their studies at a higher educational institution is characterized by a decline in perceived importance of values from the first to the third year, which can show the socalled "value crisis". In general, the trajectory of values changing from the first to the fifth course indicates a significant reduction in the perceived importance of conservative values (especially social culture and conformism) and the gradual increase in significance of the values of openness to change (self-determination) and self-transcendence (maturity and spirituality). It is established that the value-sense formation of future specialists in the humanities is characterized by certain contradictions and problems, among which particular attention should be paid to many students experiencing the anomic stress phenomenon, which is a sign of their alienation in educational process.
