| Abstract: | The article considers the theoretical and applied aspect of the formation of students’ research competence in the educational process in geography. The essence of motivationalpersonal, intellectual-creative, cognitive, effective-operational components that make up its content is revealed. The topics of the rubric "Research", which is a structural element of the current curriculum in geography for general secondary education, are analyzed. The peculiarities of the methodology of conducting and performing research are highlighted, an example of research technology on a particular topic is given. |
