| Abstract: | In the process of anthropogenous activity, and as a result of natural process and phenomena, specifically catastrophic floods in 1998 and in 2001, strong intensity and areals expansion of degradation and destructive processes have been marked in the soils of Ukrainian Carpathians. These processes cause the increase in wash-off soil areas, expansion of territories, occupied by windbreaks and slash avalanching, soil cover destruction by windbreaks and avalanches, and in some places - a complete soil destruction. It is necessary to take anticorrosion organizingeconomic, agro technical and forest-economic measures with the aim of optimizing and rationalizing land use, and preventing, ceasing and eliminating degradation processes in the soils of Ukrainian Carpathians. |
