Abstract: The abstract summarizes the results of the theoretical analysis of political psycholinguistics and gender psycholinguistics subject areas as relevant branches of applied science. The significance of relevant interdisciplinary studies, in particular, within the framework of the State Strategy for ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men for the period up to 2030 in Ukraine is substantiated. In the empirical study, a classic version of the semantic differential with 25 dichotomous scales and a verbal stimulus “successful woman in Ukrainian politics” is used. Among other things, the speech projection of “maternal” (feminine) traits on the generalized image of an effective female politician in a sub-sample of female students and “paternal” (masculine) qualities in a sub-sample of male students are revealed and interpreted. In general, according to the results of the psychosemantic research, the manifestation of contradictions between the traditional patriarchal constructions of society and the newer practices of representing a new type of gender relations such as egalitarian has been established.
