| Abstract: | The article examines the phenomenon of Olympism as a philosophical and sociocultural concept in relation to wrestling. It analyses the historical origins of wrestling in the ancient Olympic movement, its role in shaping Olympic values, and its contemporary significance in the Olympic sports system. Particular attention is paid to the educational, moral, ethical, and humanistic potential of sports wrestling in the context of the ideas of Olympism, the development of sports wrestling in Ukraine, its contribution to the Olympic achievements of the state, and its role in shaping national sports identity. |
